Our Approach
Teaching & Learning
At Buln Buln Primary School, we are committed to providing every student with high-quality teaching and learning in a safe, calm and orderly environment. We believe every student can succeed when they are known, challenged and supported, and we work in partnership with families to help every child thrive.
Our teaching is grounded in the Victorian Curriculum and informed by the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0). Through explicit, evidence-informed teaching, ongoing assessment and timely feedback, we develop strong literacy, numeracy and critical thinking skills while meeting the needs of every learner.
We are building a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to ensure all students receive the right level of academic, behavioural and wellbeing support. Our school-wide expectations Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Engaged, are explicitly taught, creating a positive learning environment where students feel connected, confident and ready to learn.
Learning is enriched through specialist programs and a range of co-curricular opportunities, while our commitment to continuous professional learning ensures our teaching reflects current educational research and Department of Education priorities.
